The important factor of Family We are living in a world were for some family dysfunction is the new norm. Dysfunction is when one deviates from the norm of social behavior in a way regarded as bad. Though in today’s time there are many families that fall under dysfunctional. In the 1950s however, that wasn’t the case. Families tended to have a full makeup of the roles played in a family. What is the meaning of family? This question would pose a different response from many people today. Because the family and its structure have changed over the years. There are many influences on how people perceive family life like their background, nationality, sex and their very structure. A family with the father who just loss employment and a mother who is working two jobs to support her family and/or a family that keep moving from place to place having no real sign of stability, as well as, a family where the young ladies are not allowed to get an education. On the other hand, a family with both parents workin g and they have a nice big home may appear to be normal but have damaging chaos in their household.
